ASOM
ASOM, also called Acute Suppurative Otitis Media, is infection of the middle ear in which the ear drum gets perforated and pus comes out. It usually occurs after cold and is more common in children due to poor eustachian tube function. Treatment: It is treated by antibiotics and antiallergics for about 5 to 10 days. Prognosis: The ear drum heals in almost all cases if proper medical treatment is given. www.acronyms.thefreedictionary.com/ASOM
